Psychologist
The services of practical psychologists have come in use in Ukraine quite recently, but the experience shows that their help is urgent. Many important events happen during students” life which have considerable importance in the future. The questions of personal relations, doubts concerning the correct choice of profession, the ability to realize oneself in the chosen profession appear. There are problems with parents who now must get used to the fact that you are already an adult and can take care of yourself. You realize not only your rights but obligations as well.
He field of activity in higher school is quite wide for a psychologist. Much attention is paid to the first year students. It”s difficult for them to adapt to the new conditions of study, to find new friends, to get used to the teachers and the specifics of the educational process. The students that live in the hostel have also some personal problems. One thing is to work with a person during the classes, quite the other is to live with this person in the same room.

The practical psychologist of the Academy S. V. Nezabytovska suggests the students different lectures and talks in which they are interested the most and which could relieve their cooperation and help in communication. Also training of different directions are held (of personal growing, assertive behaviour, etc) are held. It seems that there are people whom you can trust, respect their point of view but you can”t tell them about your secrets. Sometimes to verbalize your problem is enough to solve it or you may hear that not only with you something similar could have happened. When some questions which should be discussed privately arise you can have an individual talk with the psychologist in the students” club: on Monday 14.00 - 16.00 on Tuesday 14.00 - 16.00 on Wednesday 14.00 - 16.00 |
Those events which we call problems are just our attitude towards those events. If it is difficult to change surrounding it is necessary to change oneself.
